Catch Up: May and June

So in May I was juggling the end of the school year. I absolutely loved teaching this group of kinders. I learned so much from them and they definitely had my heart, however, it was difficult being away from Kylie, so Jesse and I prayed and we decided that I would not be returning the next school year because I really wanted to be a stay-at-home-mommy. I gave my boss a letter saying that I was going to take a year of leave, so that if this doesn't work out I still have a job.
We decided that we would try our luck at running a preschool out of our home, so that I could have the best of both worlds... still being a working mom, but also be able to stay at home with Kylie. This leads me to our next exciting update: we bought a new house! We had decided that we were done renting and were now ready to buy our first home. Our one big stipulation... it had to have a place where I could have a preschool, and of course be big enough for our family to be comfortable in for a long time. Needless to say, we took advantage of the market and found our new home. (All together now..., "Woo Hoo!")
(Here's our new house. Sorry you can't see the whole thing. I guess I need to take another picture because this is the only one we have.)

So as soon as I finished teaching, I started packing like a mad woman! We moved into the new house in early June. It has been one project after another: paint, unpack, paint, organize, paint, rearrange furniture, oh... and did I mention paint? I feel like the projects never end. I wish I could wiggle my nose and it would all be done, but I guess that is part of being in a new home...and I don't think the projects stop. I'm just trying to be patient and not have "project ADD" which leads to many unfinished projects. But seriously, we are enjoying making this house ours.

(Here's a cute picture of some play time in between packing.)

Congratulations on being the owners of a home. Yes, owning a home is work but it is worth it. I think your decision to stay at home and have a preschool will be wise for your family. Oh, I got thinking you probably don't even know who Gram is. This is Sister Cenia Parsons from the Korea "boo". I hadn't had you on my list of bookmarks before and so it was fun to read a few things about you and Jesse. Dick updated everything when we got a new Mac so it made it easy.
