Labor Experience

So I thought I'd put this update on the blog because multiple people have been asking.
We arrived at the hospital on Wednesday, June 30th around 4:20. (We were scheduled to come in at 7:00 in the morning but they were really busy and had to put us on hold.) I got my IV and got situated and the doctor came in about an hour later to give me Cytotech, which would get my cervix ready and hopefully send my body into labor. Four hours later I got another dose because it was just making my have slightly stronger and more frequent contractions, in other words not much was happening.
After the second dose still not much was happening (I was still dilated to 2 cm) so the doctor decided to break my water around 3:30 on July 1st. The anesthesiologist came in and gave my THE BEST epidural in the world around 4:30. I couldn't feel a thing. I slept for three hours and the nurse came in and checked me. I was fully dilated and ready to push. She got the doctor and I pushed through 4 contractions and she was here! Needless to say, I am now a firm believer in epidurals. I think it made all the difference in the world.
And guess what! Jesse didn't pass out! He had to sit down for a minute but he was there for the entire thing. He cut the cord and all! What a trooper!
