Not the Perfect Wife Anymore!

So Jesse and I have always had this joke that I am the perfect wife because I don't bruise easily. Apparently those days are over.
A few weeks ago the students were off for Columbus day but the teachers had an all day training. I went to the training at which we were sitting from 8:00 to 3:30 with one short break and an hour long lunch in between. At this training I managed to pop a rib out of place while sitting in a chair! That's right...I was just sitting! Do not try this at home folks...it hurts!!!!
Yeah, I thought that was bad, but this next one tops that! Yesterday my class had an ice cream party that they had earned. I asked if they wanted Popsicles or ice cream sundaes and they chose ice cream sundaes. I bought one of those gallon buckets of vanilla and had chocolate syrup and sprinkles. Unfortunately I forgot my ice cream scooper so I just used a large metal spoon instead. Note to self: Never use a metal spoon to serve ice cream! I successfully froze the tip of my thumb and now have frost bite! That's right...frost bite, no snow or cold weather involved! Now that takes talent! Don't you think?
Well 24+ hours later, my thumb still hurts and is discolored and numb. The tip of my thumb is blanching when I press it, so according to the parent I talked to at school (she's an ER nurse) it isn't permanently damaged. She said with time it will heal, so we'll see how long that takes.
Needless to say, I'm not the perfect wife anymore because I can injure myself doing the most mundane things! Also, if I am missing a thumb the next time I see you, you'll know why! :)
