Living in a College Town

So, living in a college town can be a bit... wild, annoying, chaotic (take your pick). I, however, have found a perk! When college students move they don't take all of their stuff with them. They don't have a garage sale, nor take stuff that they don't want to Good Will or the dump, if necessary. They leave it on the sidewalk for someone else to pick up or take care of!
Well I have taken advantage of this! As I was walking Briggs over winter break, I found a neglected dresser and matching side table. It need a little love, but I had time so I gave it a face lift!

I also found a pair of matching wing-backed chairs that didn't need any special attention...

and an entertainment center that had some water damage and needed a good sanding and painting! This is how it turned out:

Some may think it's a bit weird, but I'm always up for free furniture! I look at it as "going green!"
With graduation coming up, I'm sure that more treasures will be neglected streetside, so if anyone is in need, come look in our neighborhood come May and June. I'll keep my eyes peeled too! Any takers? What are your thoughts?
